About Us

Carolyn and Anthony Green, who had the vision, dream and determination to create a unique and classy jewelry company, founded Flame Work Designs in 2005. Flame Work Designs' main designers, Carolyn and Anthony, design the glasswork while their small skilled team of designers assist with the assembly of jewelry. Flame Work Designs individually creates each piece of glass from start to finish with perfection, and assembles all of their jewelry in Canada.

Carolyn studied under the skilled teachings of Alexx Chang for two years prior to creating Flame Work Designs. Carolyn was instructed on the basics and advanced practices of lampworking, later transferring her knowledge on to Anthony. Both having artistic backgrounds, Carolyn and Anthony were able to perfect their trade, both fashionably and uniquely, to compliment their styles.

Flame Work Designs began by selling their work at the BC Ferries from 2005 to 2006. They were able to test out their product to a captive audience and discovered that they had very favoured merchandise. Although this was a prospective venture for Flame Work Designs, they believed in exploring other options and introducing their designs to other areas of the world.

In 2006 Carolyn and Anthony embarked on a business venture to Europe and sold their designs in France and Switzerland. Flame Work Designs held an exhibition in the International School of Geneva in April of 2006. Their jewelry received excellent reviews on the basis that it was completely unique to the jewelry they were used to purchasing in Europe. From there, Flame Work Designs traveled to Venice to Study of ancient Lampworking practices of the Venetians.

In 2007, Flame Work Designs toured across Canada attending various festivals and expositions showcasing their work at the Festival International Montreal en Arts, The Toronto Jazz Festival, The Halifax Tall Ships Festival, and The Salmon Arm Roots and Blues Festival in BC. Their clientele favoured the work of Flame Work Designs for also being unique, classy, and eye-catching.

In 2008, Flame Work Designs traveled throughout British Columbia attending festivals such as: The Victoria Tall Ships, Harrison Festival of the Arts, Courtney Music Festival, The Vancouver Folk Festival, Penticton Peach Festival, and The Salmon Arm Roots and Blues Festival.

In 2009, Flame Work Designs became representatives of Harding Brothers Ltd. and Mariner Duty Free Ltd. and will be internationally representing their work throughout the world via Cruise Lines.

Carolyn and Anthony are inspired by their customers and continue to appreciate all the support and enthusiasm they receive. They strive to provide women with that added touch of flair that gives them the confidence and the compliments they deserve. With each new line, Flame Work Designs reinvents itself, adopting the latest styles and setting new trends.
